WineRelease.com's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Mission of WineRelease.com
WineRelease.com's mission is to keep wine enthusiasts informed about past and future fine wine release dates.
History of site

I, Neil Monnens, have been an avid wine enthusiast for 16 years, falling in love with wine after attending a Macy's Food and Wine Cellar Event in 1990. My career is advertising, specifically media planning (both offline and online).
Privacy policy
WineRelease.com's privacy policy is here.
What is the monthly newsletter?
WineRelease.com Emails a very popular newsletter of upcoming wine releases on the 15th of every month with some commentary. Previous newsletters can be found here. To subscribe Email addmnews@winerelease.com and let us know how you found out about WineRelease.com and you will be added. There is no charge for the newsletter.
What is the monthly Retail Wine Release Sheets?
WineRelease.com Emails 'printer friendly' versions of wine releases for the month (in Adobe .PDF format) for wine retailers to post in their stores. To subscribe, Email PDF@WineRelease.com and you will receive the previous, present and next month's wine releases on or around the 20th of each month. There is no charge for the Retail Wine Release Sheets.
Will my Email address be kept private?
Yes, it will be kept private. We do not sell, rent, or distribute any names, postal addresses or Email addresses. You can view our privacy policy here.
Will I be inundated with Emails?
No, the monthly Email is the only regular Email you will receive (unless you also sign up to receive the monthly Retail Wine Release Sheets). There may be one or two additional announcements a year, but the monthly Email will be the primary Email you will receive.
Where do you get your information from?
To date, over 1,900 wineries in North America have been faxed or Emailed with requests for wine release information. Requests are sent twice a year to non-responding wineries.
Where does our traffic come from?
Most of our traffic is repeat and referral traffic, but frequently, new traffic comes from search engines and directories. WineRelease.com has excellent listing and placement in the major search engines.
Why do I sometimes get pop-up/pop-under ads?
WineRelease.com does not have pop-up, pop-under or any other type of advertising that opens a browser or window on your computer. The only ads on WineRelease.com are located at the top of certain pages. If you see pop-up or pop-under ad, it is not served from WineRelease.com It either comes from the previous web site you visited, your ISP or from software you downloaded (Kazaa.com for example). I believe these types of misleading advertisements should be banned from the Internet. The problem is to identify who is serving them to you.
How do I get my winery listed?
Email addwinery@winerelease.com and include your contact information (Email, fax, phone, fax, contact name, etc.) and you will be contacted for your release information.
How do I update my listing?
Email addwinery@winerelease.com and include your release information (vintage, varietal, vineyard designation, release month/year).
Why don't you list wine release dates for imported wines?
Although I would love to provide release dates for imported wine, it is tough to get accurate dates due the many middlemen involved in the import process. "On the boat" is the best guess sometimes, and that can mean this month or three months from now. If I can't provide accurate information, I prefer not to provide it at all.
Site Hosting
WineRelease.com is hosted by my good friends at Infowest in Utah. It is a pleasure to do business with them.
